About the founders

Igor Tripkovic

AthletiScout was co-founded by Igor Tripkovic, a former professional player in Europe who went on to coach competitive youth soccer in San Diego and Orange County for more than seventeen years, across nearly every age group from U7 to U19, boys and girls. Across those years he saw the same gaps in player development: evaluations that varied from coach to coach, progress that was never written down, and a record that reset every time a player changed teams or clubs. AthletiScout is the answer: one age-appropriate standard for evaluations, practice counted at home, and a development record the family keeps through every coach and club change.

John Farrell

John Farrell co-founded AthletiScout after more than 25 years in sales and business development and 17 years coaching soccer at the youth, club and high-school levels. He holds a USSF D License and has coached competitive teams, so he knows player development, evaluation, tactics and organization first-hand, and the problems coaches meet every day. AthletiScout grew out of the two founders' shared experience of recruiting, evaluation and connecting the right players with the right opportunities. With Igor, his focus is a practical platform that uses technology to make recruiting and player development more efficient for coaches, players and clubs.
